Privacy policy

This policy explains what the Zone77 game (the Android app and the website at playzone77.com) collects about you, why, and what you can do about it. "We" means the team that makes and runs Zone77.

What we collect

• Your account: email address and username. If you sign in with Google or with email through Firebase, Google checks your password and tells us your email address and that you confirmed it; we never see a Google password. Accounts made with our older username login keep their password only as a secure hash, never in plain text.
• Your game: your player and town names, your buildings, soldiers, movements, battle reports, alliance and quest progress, and the actions you take in the game.
• Messages: what you write in world chat, alliance chat and direct messages. Moderators can read a message when a player reports it.
• Purchases: if you subscribe to Master Tinker, Google Play handles the payment. We receive the purchase details Google Play gives us (product, purchase token, dates and status) to turn your benefits on. We never see your card or bank details.
• Security data: your IP address, used to protect sign-up and log-in from abuse. We store it only as a one-way keyed hash, for at most 2 days. Our server logs also contain IP addresses and are overwritten after a short time.
• Notifications (Android app): if you allow notifications, the app gives us a push token for your phone so we can tell you about attacks, reports and messages. It is deleted when you delete your account, and we stop using it when Google tells us it is no longer valid.
• App statistics (Android app, only if you allow it): the app asks once whether you want to help us improve Zone77. Only if you say yes, Google Analytics for Firebase records which screens you open and a few game steps (signing up, joining a season, your first building), with a random app ID. You can switch it off any time in Account. No advertising ID is collected.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or files. There are no ads in Zone77 and nothing is used for advertising.

Why we use it

• to run the game and your account, and to keep your progress on every device;
• to send you account emails, such as confirming your email address, early-access decisions and password resets;
• to keep the game fair and safe: stopping cheating, bots, multiple accounts and abuse in chat.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

Who else handles it

Only companies that help us run the game, and only for that: Amazon Web Services hosts our servers, sends our emails and receives the emails you send us (kept for 30 days; in the European Union, Frankfurt), Google Play processes purchases, and Google Firebase handles sign-in (Firebase Authentication), sends notifications to the app (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and, only if you allow it, app statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase). If we turn on a bot check on the log-in page, Cloudflare Turnstile checks your browser for it. We may also share data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Your account data: until you delete your account.
• Battle reports: 30 days of game time (Master Tinker subscribers can keep pinned reports longer).
• Seasons that ended: kept for rankings and history, with your name removed if you delete your account.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the website. See how to delete your account for the steps and exactly what is removed.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to support@playzone77.com. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Zone77 is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Cookies

The website only uses the cookies it needs to keep you logged in and to remember which season you play. No advertising cookies.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and tell players about big changes in the game.
