Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and the team that makes and runs Zone77 ("we", "us"). They cover the Zone77 game in every form: the Android app, the website at playzone77.com, the game servers, the blog and the forum (together, "Zone77" or "the Service"). By creating an account, signing in or playing, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use Zone77.

1. Who can play

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, you need a parent or guardian to agree to these terms for you, and to approve any purchase.
• You must give a real email address that you can read, and keep your login details to yourself.
• You may not play if you have been banned from Zone77, or if the law where you live forbids it.

2. Your account

• One person, one account. Do not make several accounts to gain an advantage, and do not sell, trade, rent or share an account.
• You are responsible for everything done with your account. Tell us at once at support@playzone77.com if you think someone else has got into it.
• Names you choose (username, player, town, alliance) must not be offensive, hateful, misleading, or imitate another person or the Zone77 team. We may change a name that breaks this rule.

3. Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself at any time, in the Android app (More, then Account, then Delete account) or on the website (Account, then Delete account). Deleting asks for your password and happens right away. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore a deleted account, its towns, its progress or any benefit you had bought for it.

If you cannot log in, write to support@playzone77.com from the address of your account and we will delete it within 30 days. The full steps, and exactly what is removed and what stays (for example game records without your name, and purchase records we must keep for accounting), are on the delete-account page and in the privacy policy. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription: cancel it in Google Play first. Anything you owe, and any rights that by their nature continue (see section 18), stay in force after deletion.

4. Fair play

Zone77 is a competitive game, and everyone is here to enjoy it. You agree not to:

• use bots, scripts, macros, automation, or any program that plays or sends requests for you;
• exploit a bug, glitch or error in the game for an advantage, or fail to report one you find (please write to us instead);
• cheat in any other way, including sending resources between your own accounts, colluding with others to farm a player, or pushing around the rules of a season;
• attack, overload, probe or test the weaknesses of our servers, network or security, or get around any limit, rate limit or protection;
• harass, threaten, bully or hate on other players, share other people's private information, or post anything unlawful, sexual involving minors, violent, or discriminatory;
• spam, advertise, scam, or ask for money or login details;
• pretend to be a moderator or member of the Zone77 team.

5. What you post

You are responsible for what you write in chat, messages, alliance text, names, forum threads and anywhere else you can post. You keep your rights in it. By posting it you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, show, copy, translate and adapt it as needed to run, protect and promote Zone77 (for example, to show your forum thread on the public site or your name in rankings). You promise that you have the right to post it and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.

We may read reported messages, and may remove content or take action against an account at our discretion, with or without notice, when we believe these terms or the law have been broken. Public pages such as the forum can be seen and indexed by anyone, so do not post anything you want to keep private.

6. Ownership and intellectual property

Zone77 and everything in it belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws in Israel and around the world. This includes: the name "Zone77" and "The Clockwork Cycles", the logo and branding; the game design, rules, formulas, balance, world and map generation, characters, units, buildings, story and text; the artwork, illustrations, icons, animations, sounds and music; the user interface and its look and feel; the software, server and website code, APIs and databases; and the blog, guides and other content we publish. All rights are reserved.

We give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and website to play Zone77 for yourself, for as long as you follow these terms. Nothing else is licensed to you. You do not get ownership of the game, your account, or any town, item, resource, name or other thing inside it (see section 9). Without our written permission you may not:

• copy, reproduce, publish, sell, rent, lend, sublicense or distribute any part of Zone77 or its content;
• modify, translate or make derivative works, clones or "inspired by" copies that use our code, art, text, names, rules or look;
• decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or try to extract the source code, game rules, balance data or assets of the app or servers, except where the law allows it despite this term;
• use unofficial or modified apps, clients, servers ("private servers"), emulators of our backend, or tools that read or change game data;
• scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-download the website, API, forum, blog or art, or build a dataset or database from them;
• use Zone77 content, text or art to train, fine-tune or evaluate any machine-learning or AI model, or to build one, except for the search engines and assistants that our robots.txt allows to read our public pages in order to find and show them;
• remove or hide any copyright, trademark or ownership notice;
• use the Zone77 name, logo or art in a way that suggests we made, approved or are connected with your product, channel or business.

You may share screenshots and videos of your play, stream it, review it, and link to our public pages, for personal and non-commercial use or normal press and community coverage, if you credit Zone77 and do not suggest that we sponsor you. We can withdraw this permission for any use that harms the game or us.

If you send us ideas, suggestions, feedback or bug reports, you agree that we may use them freely, without payment or credit, and that you give up any claim over them.

7. Reporting infringement

If you believe something in Zone77 (for example a forum post or a name) infringes your copyright or other rights, write to support@playzone77.com with your name and contact details, what is protected, where you saw it, and a statement that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner and that the information is accurate. We may remove the content and may end the accounts of repeat infringers. If you believe someone is using our work without permission, please tell us at the same address.

8. Purchases and subscriptions

• Zone77 is free to play. Optional benefits, such as the Master Tinker subscription, are bought through Google Play. Google Play handles the payment, the price, taxes, billing, renewals, cancellations and refunds, under its own terms. We do not see your card or bank details.
• Prices and what a benefit includes can change. A change in price or benefits for an active subscription follows the rules of Google Play.
• A subscription renews until you cancel it in Google Play. Deleting the app or your Zone77 account does not cancel it.
• Except where the law says otherwise, purchases are final and are not refundable by us. Ask Google Play for a refund within its refund rules. Where the law gives you a right to cancel a digital purchase, it applies as the law says.
• Benefits are a licence to use features in the game for as long as the subscription is active and Zone77 is running. They have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and we may adjust them to keep the game fair and working.
• If we find fraud, a chargeback, or a purchase made without permission, we may cancel the benefit and suspend the account.

9. Virtual things have no real-world value

Towns, buildings, units, resources, energy, rank, alliances, names and every other thing in the game are part of a game. They are licensed to you for play only, they are not property and they have no cash value. Do not buy, sell or trade them for money or outside the game. Seasons end, worlds are reset or closed, and we may change rules, balance, costs and features, so what you build can be lost, reduced or changed, and you will not be paid for it.

10. Seasons, availability and changes

We may change, pause, restart or end any season, world, feature or the whole Service, add or remove content, and carry out maintenance at any time, with or without notice. We do not promise that Zone77 will always be available, on time, free of interruptions, or free of errors, or that your data will never be lost. The game may include characters controlled by the game itself, and parts of the public content may be produced with help of automated tools; none of it is advice or a statement of fact about anyone.

11. Suspension and ending your access

We may warn, mute, limit, suspend or permanently close an account, remove content, or reset progress, with or without notice, if we believe you broke these terms, harmed other players or the Service, or if the law or an authority requires it. We do not owe you a refund or compensation for that. You may stop using Zone77 at any time, and delete your account as described in section 3.

12. Third-party services

Zone77 works with services we do not control, such as Google Play, Firebase, Amazon Web Services and your phone, browser and internet provider. Their own terms apply to you when you use them, and we are not responsible for them or for what they do. Links to other sites are for your convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for those sites.

13. No warranties

Zone77 is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including about quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, uninterrupted or error-free operation, security, or that your game progress, rankings or data will be kept or will not be lost. You use Zone77 at your own risk and are responsible for your device, connection and any costs of data use.

14. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• we, our owners, team members, contractors and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, game progress, virtual items or opportunity, arising from or related to Zone77, even if we were told they could happen;
• our total liability to you for all claims related to Zone77 is limited to the larger of (a) the amount you paid us through Google Play in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, and (b) 50 US dollars;
• we are not liable for what other players say or do, or for anything caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of hosting, internet or app-store services, attacks, power failures, disasters, strikes or acts of authorities.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, intentional harm, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer and that cannot be waived. Where such rules apply to you, these terms apply as far as the law allows.

15. Your promise to cover us

To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend, compensate and hold harmless us and our owners, team and contractors from any claim, loss, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) that comes from your content, your breach of these terms or the law, or your violation of anyone else's rights.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms and any dispute about them or about Zone77 are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel have exclusive jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live, and your right to bring a claim in your local courts if the law gives you one, are not affected. Before starting any claim, please write to support@playzone77.com and give us 30 days to try to solve it. To the extent the law allows, claims must be brought within one year after they arise, and only on your own behalf, not as part of a group or class action.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the game or the law changes. We will change the date at the top and tell players about important changes in the game or by email. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop playing and delete your account.

18. General

• These terms and the privacy policy are the full agreement between you and us about Zone77.
• If a part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right, we do not give it up.
• You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone. We may transfer ours, for example if Zone77 is sold or moved to a new company.
• Sections about ownership, what you posted, fair play, purchases, no warranties, limit of liability, covering us and governing law stay in force after your account ends.
• These terms may be provided in several languages. If they differ, the English version is the one that applies, where the law allows.
